WHAT TIME IS IT?

Behold the prophecies of the Bible are fast fulfilling; our days are preoccupied with events offering themselves as pointers to the end of the world. This means that surely Jesus will come in this our generation.

Completely absorbed with confidence of future events taking place, a young man was addressing a set of people one afternoon in a bus. As he continued, he tried to make those people understand the period they are living in.

Back to yourself; this tract is right in your hand and you are reading it. By the time you would have finished, the knowledge of the period you live in will make a world of difference to you. Many people can hardly face the idea of determining the events happening around them in relation to Bible prophecies. The exceptions are those with wise hearts like David who asked God to teach him how to number his days, that he may apply his heart unto wisdom (Psalm 90:12).

The events we witness do not bounce on and off of their own accord. The scripture said, to everything, there is season and a time to every purpose under the heaven (Eccl 3:1). The generation and dispensation we find ourselves in is a rare opportunity for those of us that have found Jesus and are abreast of prophetic fulfillments. It means our appearance on the earth at this particular time zone is as important as what we make out of it. But the time runs out, the season and events go; the elements (i.e. the sun, moon, stars and other planetary bodies are constantly doing their work – Gen 1:14) set to regulate the time and announce to us God’s programme. But how many of us are wise like the magi to interpret the signs in the heavenlies? Events of today are designed and timed altogether by God himself. They are set beyond the imaginations of humans. He also placed watchers to keep monitoring his creations and activities in the world, so that things work out as it has been written (Ezekiel chapter 1).

WHAT TIME IS IT?

Every major event that affects the earth is recorded by God in the heavens. Here on earth, we have them effectively penned down (in details) in book called the Bible. Some of these events were recorded before Jesus left the earth. Before his departure his disciples approached him privately and demanded to know the signs of his return and of the end of the world (Mat 24:3).

In Luke 21:25 Jesus said “and there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars and upon the earth distress of nations with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring. Now we will list some of the end of age signs.

1.     Before Jesus returns, Jerusalem shall fall, the people scattered by the Gentiles and they shall not be gathered until the time of the gentiles fulfilled (Luke 21:24). At AD 70 about 40 years after Jesus gave the prophecy, Roman armies led by general Titus marched into Jerusalem. They destroyed Jerusalem and the Jews were scattered worldwide. On May 14, 1948, the Jews were gathered back from the nations of the world. Jerusalem was recaptured in six days war in 1967; thus fulfilling Luke 21:24.  Friend, anybody that is not Jew is a Gentile.  So our time is up. The door of salvation is gradually closing against the Gentiles. If you are not yet saved (born again), soon it will be too late for you. From 1967 till now, we are in a transition. In few years which you count with fingers of one hand, the rapture will take place, and the door finally closed.

2.     Before Jesus returns, Russia has become a strong power from the northern part of the world. She also has allies (Syria, Iran, Egypt, Turkey, Libya, etc). This power from the north would attempt to suppress Israel on every side with the support of her allies. They will invade Israel from her north: Syrian territory. Presently, Russia is trying to control Syria. This we are witnessing now will get Ezekiel 38 fulfilled. The Zenith is Armageddon war (the 3^rd word war).

3.     Before Jesus returns, ten nations will come together, working in power of a nation. Their purpose is to restore the old Roman Empire (Rev. 13 and Rev. 17). This is happening through the European Economic Community (E.E.C.). Rome belongs to this community.

4.     Before His return, there will be the discovery of weapons that could annihilate the population of the world at an operation. This is fulfilled in the building up of Neutron bomb, Atomic bomb, Space weapons, weather weapons, Gamma rays, chemical and biological weapons, etc (Zech 14:12; Rev. 18:8-10).

5.     Jesus spoke of the pestilences that will exist at the end of the world (Mat 24:7). Terrible diseases and epidemics are breaking out in many parts of the world; and are getting worse. We have also had health issues from poisons and toxic contaminants in the environment. We have not included problems generated by drugs. Now HIV/AIDS is popular among the people, with many people living with the virus. The fear of Ebola tried to began wisdom for the people. But the only sustainable wisdom is having the Lord Jesus Christ. The world has not fully contained the Ebola virus, when other more potent viruses are casting their woes on mankind. While we contend with Lassa fever virus on this part of the world, other parts have Zikka virus to contend with.

6.     Jesus prophesied about erratic weather pattern. These signs include: flooding, erosion, drought, etc; all battling against man. We hear them in the news in foreign countries like U.S.A., Australia, Japan, Indonesia, etc. But for the first time in the history of our dear nation Nigeria, we saw flood like tsunami affecting about half of the country-19 states: Kogi, Benue, Anambra, Edo, Imo, Delta, Rivers, Bayelsa, etc. etc.

In 1982, there was a lineup of nine planets, reoccurring after a little over 200 years. Since then seismic activities and fault lines increased tremendously causing earth tremors and quakes in diverse places. The stars and planetary bodies have a place in prophecy. The Bible said Psalm 19:1-2, “The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech and night unto night sheweth knowledge”. Neptune and Uranus aligned in 1993. On May 5 of year 2000, there was a grand alignment of planets. What is the significance of these? - Sudden and extreme changes concerning all facets of the society and the earth. The news media have been busy ever since. The world witnessed the Harley’s comet in 1986. Other ones came around to tell their story of bad omens. Comet Ison was bright in our sky year 2013. It was vaporize by sun on November 28, which were Thanksgiving Day and the Jewish Holiday of Hanukkah. Ison translated into Hebrew means disaster or accident!

In 2014-2015, a rare sequence of tetrad Blood red moon Lunar eclipses occurred on the Jewish Holidays of Passover and the Sukkoth (feast of tabernacles). Two solar eclipses also occurred in 2015, on the Jewish New year for kings and feast of trumpets Holidays. Once in a while, we are fortunate to see a lunar eclipse. These beautiful occurrences happen whenever the earth’s shadow blocks the sun’s light, which otherwise reflects off the moon. There are three types: partial, penumbra and total lunar eclipse. A total lunar eclipse is the most rare to occur as the sun, moon and earth must be perfectly lined up at the time when the moon is also full. At the peak of this particular eclipse, the moon will appear blood red, making it the most breathtaking as well. This rare thing kept occurring from 2014 to 2015. When it occurs in four successive times, it is called a tetrad. This tetrad of blood red moons occurred that year on the 15^th April, 2015 (Passover) and 28^th September, 2015 (Feast of tabernacles). There are sequences of triads in between. A total solar eclipse on March 20, 2015 coincides with the Jewish New Year. That of September 13^th, 2015 falls on the Feast of Trumpets. Remember, the heavens have story to tell according to Psalm 19:1-2: Jesus is coming very soon. Not as has been said before; you can now count on that. God himself is already preaching to us through the heavens. God said in Acts 2:19-20, “And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness (total solar eclipse) and the moon into blood; before that great and notable day of the Lord come. With the sun and moon phenomenon, the great and notable day of the Lord will soon follow.

Time and space will not allow us to give a detailed significance of what is to occur. But you can contact us for details. God has spoken to men through his servants. Please read Lk 21:22. We are being warned that we have finally entered the season of his return. But who will take these things to heart. Your life and eternal destiny is the issue. Can you hang it on assumption? You better run to Jesus now. The time intervals and the effects of the events are timed to give man opportunity to repent.

But there is a time limit, when this opportunity will be no more. Rev 10:6-7 records the Angel swearing to the limitation of the time – there shall be time to longer. As Jesus is coming soon, friends, how are you preparing to meet him?

Jesus said he came that we might have life and have it in abundance. It can be attained through his forgiveness and washing us with his precious blood. Jesus is the only Savior. There has never been any other; and there will not be any other. Jesus died to give us a total freedom from bondage of sin and total deliverance from the devils. God loves you and he wants you to have eternal life. Please confess your sins to him now. Tell Jesus to take them away, wash you and give you His Holy Spirit. You will then become a changed person, a brand new man (2 Cor 5:17). As you have done this, please do stand by your decision. Moreover, the Bible must be your next companion.
